My name is Carolyn. I am a post grad student returning to get a degree in Elementary Education with a Math 5-9 certification. I grew up as an Army brat so moved frequently and really dont claim to be "from" anywhere. I currently live in Jane Lew, Lewis County and have been in WV for the past 20 years and proud to call it home now. I am just starting this journey with my goal to teach math at the Middle School level.
What were your past professions? And made you decide to come back to school now to become a teacher? :)
ReplyDeleteAfter a brief stint in the Criminal Justice field: I worked at Williamsburg PD and then Presly Ridge School in Clarksburg, I switched to the Medical field doing mostly administrative work. I am actually fulfilling my childhood dream of becoming a teacher, I went down other roads always looking for the easy way but never quite finding fulfillment.

ReplyDeleteHello, Carolyn. You must be patient to be able to handle middle school kids, especially wanting to teach math. Good luck! I think I will stick with the elementary kids. :)
